THE MONNIN® CASE LEGACY

Since the first Monnin-built divers of the 1970s, this case architecture has shaped the identity of countless tool watches. What began as a French-engineered solution for Heuer’s early dive program soon became a reference point in the industry — a form adopted by Breitling, Sinn, Aquadive, HGP, and others who needed reliability above all.

Its appeal was never about style alone; it was about geometry that served a purpose, a silhouette forged by necessity and tested by professionals across decades.

THE EVOLUTION: 664

In the mid-1970s, the H case shape was favored by Comex divers for its robustness and glove-grip bezel — a form shaped by real underwater needs.

The new 664 continues that story: more defined lines, tighter tolerances, and modern machining — yet still unmistakably Monnin.

Today, the 664 emerges with its heritage intact and its engineering elevated, ready to write the next chapter of a lineage that began half a century ago.

In the 60s and 70s, the “Scuba Dudes” have quietly left their mark on the dials and casebacks of French divers.

Today, the iconic “Scuba Dude” returns to the spotlight, making a bold dive on the back of the HGP Diver 200M Chrono-Mecaquartz. This legendary design along with the historical HGP logo have been carefully revived from the HGP archives, honoring its rich heritage while embracing the present.

The VK64 Seiko movement offers to the Diver 200M Chrono-Mecaquartz Commando the best of both worlds: the look and feel of a mechanical diving watch - with a sweeping second hand marking the 1/5 of second - and the perfect accuracy of the quartz technology.

The result is a perfect grab-and-go or back-up dive chronograph that can follow you on any mission.

SWISS MADE SUPER-LUMINOVA®

For the highest possible afterglow performance, all HGP diving watches including - the Diver 200M Chrono-Mecaquartz - are using Swiss made Super-LumiNova® pigments:

• Seven layers of Super-LumiNova® pigments are applied on the dials.
• All Hands are skeletonized and filled with Super-LumiNova® pigments
• The bezel's triangle-shaped marker at 12 o’clock is filled with Super-LumiNova® pigment.
• "Old Radium" or C3 Super-LumiNova® pigments
